The updated date of the group indicates when anyone performed an update action on the group.
The list of update actions for the group is defined as follows.

Add or remove contacts or admins.

Promote a contact as admin.

Manually enter new contacts.

Import contacts from the CSV file.

Import using the SFTP.

Add, delete, or update a group file.

Change to the welcome message or its settings.

Change in membership processing styles.

Any change in general group settings.

Any change in publications and their settings
