# Authenticate Blackbaud Integration with Regroup

Contact Regroup to enable the Blackbaud integration add-on. After enabling the add-on, you can authorize Blackbaud data integration with Regroup. To authorize the integration, you must have the **Organization Admin** role in Regroup and **Environment Admin** and **Sky API Data Sync** roles in Blackbaud.

If you’re only an Environment Admin in Blackbaud, add yourself to the Sky API Data Sync role to authenticate the integration. Here is how you authorize the integration between Regroup and Blackbaud:

1. Click the **Organization Settings** icon on the top right corner. See the following image:

2. Click the **Add-ons** tab on the left navigation panel. See the following image:

   The add-ons page appears with all add-ons.
3. Search or filter the Blackbaud add-on: click the search field, enter the add-on’s name, and click enter on your keyboard.

4. Click **Options** on the required add-on tile. See the following image:

   The Blackbaud Add-ons page opens with the Application Registration and Connect Application sections.
5. Copy the **Redirect URI** from the **Application Registration** section to use in the following steps. See the following image:

   **Tip**: Keeping this window open will ease your integration process. To complete integration, you must move between Blackbaud's Developer Account section and this page multiple times.
6. To create an application in Blackbaud and register it with Regroup, do the following:
   
     1. Open the[Blackbaud SKY Developer](https://developer.blackbaud.com/skyapi/) site on a different tab.
     2. Sign in with your **Sky API Developer** account credentials.
        
        **Note**: To authorize the integration, you need **Environment Admin** and **Sky API Data Sync** roles.
     3. Select **My Applications** from the **Developer Account** dropdown**.**
     4. Click **Add Application**.
        
        If you already have an application, skip this step. To learn more about creating an application in Blackbaud, See [Create an application](https://developer.blackbaud.com/skyapi/docs/getting-started).
     5. Go to **Settings** and locate **Redirect URI**.
     6. Paste the redirect URI copied from the Application Registration section of Regroup’s add-on page.
        
        If you don’t have the Redirect URI, navigate to Regroup’s add-on page \> **Application Registration** section and copy it as highlighted in the following image:

        You can now create the application in Blackbaud.
     7. To register the application with Regroup, you must do the following:
        
            1. From the Blackbaud application, copy the following details:
               
                     1. Open the **Application Details** page of your newly created application.
                     2. Copy the **Application ID (OAuth client\_id)** and **OAuth client\_secret**.
                        
                        **Tip**: You need these credentials to paste into Regroup’s Application Registration page and Blackabud’s Connect App page.
                     3. Navigate to the SKY API home page and select **My Subscriptions** from the **Developer Account** dropdown.
                     4. Copy your subscription's **Access Key**.
            2. Navigate to the Regroup application's Add-ons page \> **Application Registration** section and paste the following:
               
                     1. **Client ID**: Enter the **Application ID (OAuth client\_id)**
                     2. **Client Secret:** Enter the **OAuth client\_secret**
                     3. **Subscription Access Key**: Enter the **Access Key** copied from the subscription page.

                     4. Click **Save**.
                        
                        To authorize, you must enable Regroup in the Blackbaud Sky API Console.
7. To connect and authorize the application, do the following steps on the Blackbaud application page:
   
     1. Open the[Blackbaud Marketplace](https://app.blackbaud.com/marketplace/) application on a different tab.
     2. Log into the Blackbaud application as an **environment admin**.
     3. Search for the **Sky API Console** and click open it.
        
        Ensure that it is already enabled for you.

        The **SKY API Console** page opens.
     4. Click **Manage** on the top left. The following is the Manage button:

     5. Click **+Connect App** on the top left. See the following image:

        The connect application pop-up opens.
     6. In the **Application ID** field, enter the **OAuth client\_id** you copied from the **Application Details** page of your newly created Blackbaud application.
     7. Click **Connect**.
        
        The following is the Connect button:

     8. You can close the message that confirms Regroup is connected. 
        
        Now, Regroup appears in the list of connected applications in Blackbaud.
8. Navigate to the Regroup application's Add-ons page \> **Application Registration** section (this tab must be already open per step 5).
9. Click **Authorize**. The following is the authorize button:

10. Click **Authorize** to allow Regroup to access your Blackbaud data. You are now redirected to log into Regroup application.

You have now authenticated the Blackbaud integration.

**Note**: A new tab titled **Blackbaud** appears on the **Contact Management** page. To complete the integration, perform the tasks in the [Configure and Initiate Blackbaud Data Import](https://docs.regroup.com/docs/configure-and-initiate-blackbaud-data-import/) topic.
