# Close an Incident

This topic explains how to close an active incident.

1. On **Incidents Dashboard** page, under **Active Incidents** tab, click the **Close** button for an incident.

   or
   
   In the header menu, open the **Incident**s dropdown and select **Active Incidents**. Then, click an incident to view its details and click **Close**.

2. From the dropdown menu, select one of the following options:
   
     - **Close without notification**: Select this option to close the incident immediately without sending any notification to the recipient(s).
     - **Close with notification**: Select this option to navigate to the **Incident Phase: Close** page. Review and modify the incident configurations as needed, then click **Send Now**. A closing notification will be sent to the recipient(s), and the incident will be closed.
