# Modify Existing Channel
Here is how you update an existing channel:
1. Click the **Channels** tab. See the following image:
The **My Channels** page opens.
2. Search and locate the channel to update in the **My Channels** tab.The organization admins can edit channels on the **All Channels** tab too.
3. To set up the channel entirely, you can click open the channel’s name. To set up further, see the topic [Configure the General Setting of a Channel.](https://docs.regroup.com/docs/configure-the-general-setting-of-a-channel/)
4. To update the basic details of the channel, click the vertical ellipsis corresponding to the required channel and click **Edit Channel**. See the following image:
The **Edit Channel** page opens.
5. You can click to update the **Channel Name** and **Channel Description**.
6. You can change the Admin Privacy of the channel by selecting **Public**, **Restricted** or **Hidden** as required. See the following image:
7. Click **This Channel is for Urgency Use** checkbox to send all the messages from this channel with the highest priority.
8. Click **Automatically delete this Channel** checkbox to delete this channel on a selected time and date. See the following image:
**Tip**: You can exit the time or date selection by clicking the time field.
9. Click **Save** to save your changes.
