Overview of Form Field
Form fields are text fields with a set of predefined values. Organization admins can create form fields with values repeatedly used in messaging across your organization. An admin can create form fields in the Channels tab.
Note: To use form fields in messaging, you must create a message template with form fields. You can only send messages using the templates shared with you, the channel or the group.
Tip: You cannot update the message body of a form field template. Creating and adding Free Text Entry Field to the template enables adding more details to the message content.
You can use form field message templates to send all message types except IPAWS.
Use case example: In an airport, you can create form fields with flight, gate numbers and a free text entry field. Other admins can send messages using the templates made with these form fields and the free text field. They can add recipients and other information and update the message body for each flight and gate number. They also can add more information to the message body using the free text entry field.
