# Remove All Floating Contacts on a Scheduled Basis

### **Overview**

Floating contacts are organization contacts who are not assigned to any groups or channels. These contacts appear under **Organization Contacts** on the **Recipient** tab.  
You can add floating contacts to groups or channels, remove them in bulk, or set up an automated schedule to remove all floating contacts at regular intervals.

If you want to remove only specific floating contacts, see **Remove Floating Contacts**.

This topic explains how to schedule the automatic removal of ***all*** floating contacts in your organization.

### **Schedule Automatic Removal of All Floating Contacts**

1. Click the **Organization Settings** icon in the top-right corner.
2. In the left navigation panel, select **Contact Management**.
3. Open the **SFTP Imports** tab.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the **Floating Contacts** section.
5. Select the checkbox labeled:  
   **“Remove all Floating Contacts from the Organization that are not in at least one Group or Channel.”**
6. Open the **Schedule** dropdown and choose how often floating contacts should be removed:
   
     1. **Daily** – Removes floating contacts every day at 00:00
     2. **Weekly** – Removes floating contacts every Friday at 00:00
     3. **Monthly** – Removes floating contacts on the last day of each month at 00:00
     4. **Quarterly** – Removes floating contacts on the last day of each quarter at 00:00
7. Click **Save**.

**Note:** The system runs the removal process using Central Time (server time). Actual processing time may vary based on server availability.
