# Remove Floating Contacts

###### **Overview**

Floating contacts are organization contacts that are not assigned to any group or channel. You can manage these contacts from the **Recipients** tab, where they appear under **Organization Contacts**. This article explains how to remove one, several, or all floating contacts.

### **Remove One or Multiple Floating Contacts**

1. Go to the **Recipients** tab.
2. In the left navigation panel, select **Floating Contacts** under **Organization Contacts**.
3. Select the contacts to remove:
   
     1. To remove all contacts on the page, check the selection box in the list header.
     2. To remove all floating contacts in your organization, choose **Select all items** when prompted.
4. Click **Remove**.
5. Type **Yes** in the confirmation box.
6. Click **Ok** to confirm.

#### **Remove an Individual Floating Contact**

You can remove a single floating contact using either method below:

1. In the **Floating Contacts** list, check the box to the left of the contact’s name
2. Type **Yes** in the confirmation box.
3. Click **Yes** to confirm.

**Note:** Removing a floating contact is permanent and cannot be undone.
