Schedule an Incident

This feature allows you to schedule an incident for a specific date and time. The incident will automatically be initiated at the scheduled time, and the message will be sent accordingly. You can also choose whether the incident runs once or on a recurring schedule.

Follow the steps to schedule an incident:

  1. In the header menu, click the Launch Incident dropdown, then select a favorite incident template.

    Click the Launch Incident button.

  2. In Choose Template, select an already created incident template from the dropdown list. See the Incident Templates topic for creating a new incident template.

    Upon selecting a template, all other configured parameters are automatically populated. See the Launch an Incident topic for additional information.

  3. Check Schedule for Later at the bottom of the page.

  4. In the Schedule Incident for Later dialog, use the Select Date field to choose the date on which the incident should be scheduled.

  5. In the Select Time field, specify the exact time at which the incident should occur on the selected date. Select a time zone in the dropdown next to it.

  6. Optionally, check the Recurring option to configure the incident to repeat at a specified interval instead of executing only once. On selecting the “Recurring” option, the following options will appear:

    • Repeat Every: Specifies how frequently the incident should repeat (e.g., every 1 day, week, etc.). Enter the interval and unit. For example, to repeat the incident every 2 days, set the interval to 2 and select “day” as the unit.

    • Ends: Specifies how the recurring incident schedule will end:

      • Never: Select this option to keep the incident execute indefinitely, with no defined end date.

      • On: Select this option to end the recurring incident on a specific date. Once selected, choose the date when the incident execution should stop.

      • After: Select this option to end the recurring incident after a specified number of occurrences. Once selected, enter the number of occurrences after which the incident should end. For example, 3.

  7. Click Save.

    The incident has been scheduled.
