# Send Messages With a Defined Delivery Priority Order
### **Overview**
This topic explains how to set message priority order when sending a message.
The priority order determines the sequence and time intervals at which the system attempts delivery through different methods, such as Email, SMS, Call, and Push Notification via *Regroup Mobile*.
The following steps describe how to set a delivery priority order when sending a message. For a full list of available messaging options, refer to our [Send Message](https://docs.regroup.com/docs/send-new-messages/) help topic.

### **Steps to Define Delivery Priority Order**
1. **Start a New message**
- Click the **New Message** buttonat the top left of your navigation bar.
2. **Select Message Type**
- On the **Post New Message** page, select a message type from the **Message Type** section.
*The following message types support* ***Delivery Priority Order****:*
- **Quick Message** – Send predefined messages in two clicks (must be configured with delivery priority order).
- **Message to Channel** – Send to channels, groups, or individuals.
- **Ad Hoc Messages** – Send to groups or individual recipients.
**(Note:** You can also access message types directly from the **New Message** dropdown.)
1. **Add recipients.**

2. **Select delivery methods**
- From the **Delivery Methods** section (e.g., Email, SMS, Call, Regroup Mobile).
1. **Enable the Delivery Priority Order option:**
When supported delivery methods are selected, the **Use Delivery Priority Order** checkbox appears.
- Select the checkbox to enable it.
- By selecting the Delivery Priority Order, you acknowledge that it will:
1. Override the recipient's quiet hours
2. Mark your message as urgent

### **Stop the Message**
The **Stop the message** dropdown offers three options to choose from when delivery should stop:
1. **Option 1:** When the recipient responds: Stops after the recipient acknowledges.
2. **Option 2:** Upon successful delivery: Stops after one method succeeds.
3. **Option 3:** Only when the cycle(s) complete: Continues delivery attempts until the cycle completes, even when there is confirmation that one of the methods is successfully delivered.

### **Define Priority and Interval**
- **Priority Order section:**
- Optional: Check **Send to the recipient’s preferred communication method first**.
- Select delivery methods in the order you want them attempted.
- Click **Add Another** to define additional methods.
- **Interval section:**
- Choose the time interval (in minutes or seconds) between each delivery attempt.
- **Repeat Cycle section:**
- **Do not repeat** – Delivery cycle runs once.
- **Repeat the cycle** – Repeats the cycle for a specified number of times.

### **Final Steps**
1. In the **Sender Profile** section, select or create a sender profile.
2. In the **Message Content** section, enter your message.
1. Click **Send Now** to send the message with your defined delivery priority.
