Social Media Preferences: Overview

You can integrate your Regroup account with your social media pages to share messages. On the Social Settings page, you can integrate your social media and configure how the posts should appear. You can integrate Facebook and Twitter pages with the entire organization or a specific channel.

To post a message, you first configure social media and then select Twitter or Facebook as the delivery method while sending messages. The system posts messages to the integrated social media pages with the chosen post style. You can also add custom content for Facebook and Twitter while sending messages.

You can configure the Social Settings in the following two ways:

  • Configure social media at the Organization level: You can post all messages to the integrated social media pages when Facebook or Twitter is selected as a delivery method. Organization-level configuration surpasses the channel-level settings.

  • Configure social media at the channel level: The system posts messages from the configured channels when Facebook or Twitter is selected as a delivery method. You can integrate a specific social media page with each channel. You can also define the post style per channel.

Tip:  Using channel-level social settings over organization-level social settings is advisable. Even messages in your hidden groups or channels can get posted with organization-level settings irrespective of channel-level configuration.

The message you post displays the name of the organization or channel per your configuration. If both are configured, the organization name gets precedence.
