Types of Message Templates

Templates are pre-saved message content, text, data fields or any stored data that you can use to send messages uniformly and quickly. Regroup allows admins to create and share the following message templates:

  • Message Templates: Predefined message content you save to use when sending Ad-Hoc or Channel messages. Create the following templates:

  • Form fields: Save text fields with a list of values repeatedly used in messaging across your organization. See the topic: Manage Form Fields.

  • Message Defaults: pre-configure the delivery method and sender details for all messages from the channel or organization. See the topic: Setup Message Defaults. You can set the following:

    • Sender Profiles: Pre-configured sender details and the appearance of From field of messages. To create the sender profile as a template, see Create Sender Profiles.

    • Default Delivery Methods: Pre-configured message delivery methods.

    • Mandate sender profile: Limit sending messages only using a particular profile. Admins cannot update these profiles. See the topic: Set up Mandate Sender Profile.

  • Quick Message Templates: Save fully preprogrammed message content, recipients, sender profile and sending methods. You can send it to channels, groups or individuals in a few clicks. See the topic, Send Quick Messages.

  • Voice Recordings: Record or upload voice files to send as calls (TTS/Voice) or attachments in new messages. See the topic, Manage Voice Recording.

  • Map Regions: You can set up map regions with Regroup to easily access the recipients or groups in that location. You can also use the mapped region for geofencing and location-based messaging. See the topic, Setup Map Regions.

  • Personalized Fields: Personalized Fields allow you to send personalized or dynamic messages based on the contact profile data and custom attributes.

The Message Compose box will have a dropdown with all available fields, and the selection is the input where the cursor is in the text box.
