    • Organization administrators can also use the All Groups tab.

  3. Select Edit Group from the group’s menu (vertical ellipsis).

  4. The General Settings page opens.

  5. Update the applicable group settings, including details, nesting, access, messaging, opt-out, and location options, as described in the sections below.

  6. Select Save to apply the configuration changes.

Configure Admin Privacy

Select one of the following access levels:

  • Public: All admins can view and send messages.

  • Restricted: All admins can view. Messaging requires approval.

  • Hidden: Only authorized admins can view and send messages.

Configure Group Type (Reply Settings)

Group Type controls whether recipient replies are accepted.

This feature requires enabling Announcements Only vs Open Discussion in Advanced Organization Settings.

Options:

  • Announcements Only

    • Recipients cannot reply by Email, SMS, or mobile apps.

    • Replies are not received or managed.

  • Open Discussion

    • Recipients can reply.

    • Admins can view and manage responses.

Tip: For Announcement-Only groups, inform recipients that replies are not monitored.

Configure Opt-Out Settings

Choose one option:

  • Allow Contacts to Opt Out

Contacts may opt out of non-urgent Email, SMS, and TTS notifications. Urgent messages remain active.

  • Do Not Allow Contacts to Opt Out

Contacts cannot opt out through their profile. SMS and TTS opt-out remains available through system commands.

For more information, see Short Codes, Long Codes, and Error Codes and General SMS Commands.

Update Location

  1. Enable Add a Location to This Group.

  2. Enter the address and select the correct match.

  3. Choose a Group Address Type.

Group address types are managed in Organization Settings.

Configure Group Channel

  • Enable Automatically Create a Group Channel for This Group to generate a dedicated Group.

  • When enabled, the system creates the Group Channel automatically.
  • The Group Channel uses the delivery methods defined in Organization Settings.
  • You can also create a Group Channel manually if needed.
  • After creation, recipients cannot be modified because the group is linked to the channel.
  • You can delete the Group Channel manually when it is no longer required.

Configure Auto-Delete

  • Enable Auto-Delete Group.

  • Select the date for automatic removal.

The system deletes the group on the specified date.
