# WhatsApp Message Template
When Regroup sends a message via WhatsApp, standard fixed approved Template Content is required in all messages. The template can include variable content, which is the content created in Regroup, while the static text remains unchanged.
**Note**: The message template must be approved by Meta before Regroup can use it.
Follow the steps to define a WhatsApp message template:
1. Navigate to [business.facebook.com](https://business.facebook.com/) to access Meta Business Suite.
2. Log into the Meta Business Suite using your credentials.
3. Select your Business Portfolio and access its Settings.
4. On the **Settings** page, click **WhatsApp accounts** under the **Accounts**.
The Business WhatsApp account(s) associated with the business portfolio displays.
5. Select the desired Business WhatsApp account.
6. Under the **Summary** tab, click **WhatsApp Manager** at the bottom.
You are navigated to the **WhatsApp Manager** page.
7. On the WhatsApp Manager page, click **Message Templates** from the left pane.
The **Templates** page displays.
8. On the **Templates** page, click the **Create Template** button.
The template creation process begins.
9. On the **Set up template** page, select **Utility** as the template category, and then click **Next**.
The **Edit template** page displays.
10. On the **Edit template** page, specify the following parameters:
1. In the **Name your template** field, enter the template name as **regroup\_notifications**.
**Note**: This value must match exactly as specified.
2. In the **Header** field, click **+ Add Variable** to insert a variable.
**Note**: Only one variable can be used in the header.
3. Specify a value for the header variable in the **Header** field under **Variable Samples**. Once you enter the value, you can view the preview in the **Template Preview** area on the right. This header value will be used as the message header for the WhatsApp notification.
4. In the **Body** field, click **+ Add Variable**. This variable will be replaced by the message content defined in Regroup.
**Important**: Only use one variable in the body and ensure to add static text before and after the variable.
5. Specify a value for the body variable in the **Body** field under **Variable Samples**. Once you enter the value, you can view the preview in the **Template Preview** area on the right. This content is used by META for verification purposes.
11. After specifying the above parameters, click the **Submit for review** button.
The template will be submitted for approval. Once approved by Meta, it will be used while sending Regroup notifications via WhatsApp.
